Script Vault takedown policy

The Script Vault lists screenplays so writers can read them. INT. COFFEE SHOP - DAY does not register scripts, does not grant copyright, and does not decide who owns a script.

If you are the rights holder, or you act for them, you can ask us to hide a Vault script:

1. Open the script in the Script Vault and choose Request takedown.
2. Give your name, company, email and the script, and confirm the rights-holder statement.
3. We email you a confirmation link. The request is logged when you send the form. Nothing is hidden until you confirm that email.
4. If the confirmed email’s domain is on a list of known studio, streamer, broadcaster and rights-holder domains, the script is hidden from the Vault straight away and an administrator is told.
5. Any other confirmed request waits for a person to approve or reject it.

Hiding a script removes its card from the Vault. It is not a finding about copyright. A PDF that was already published with the site can remain at its old address until that file is removed in a later deploy.

There is no charge for a takedown request, and we do not send the script to a registry.
